The Big Red Blob…
I’m afraid it’s getting out of hand. It’s certainly taken over my life.
I started the final chart.
I need to wind off the second skein of yarn.
My husband is getting concerned, I barely stir from the couch.
Can’t type, gotta knit.
Back later.
PS: Artificially Mythic asked how big this is going to be. The pattern says 55 inches across… 173 inches around.
Please send a rescue squad with restorative whiskey.

Woo hoo! Final chart!
I need to schedule in time to knit in December so it doesn't get eaten up in the holiday flurry.
Woot final chart! It's going to be amazing! And huge!
Will see if I can find a St Bernard with whiskey to pull your from the avalanche...
Good luck! Go for it!
Irish? Scotch? Single Malt?
(What a perfect warming colour.)
So pretty! Just getting to the final chart is an accomplishment. Maybe it's just the season but the center flower reminds me of a poinsettia.
Ooooh! The final stretch!
I find lace horribly addictive, especially near the end. It's no wonder you never leave the sofa.
Want some Glenfiddich? Special 50-year-old smooth-as-silk single-malt scotch? Will that cure what ails ya? Will more hypens help?
i love your red blob. I'm so excited to see it finished. I love how you've become TOTALLY obsessed! Almost there!
Oh, but I can see why you haven't moved!! Glorious.
I think I'd be obsessed, too, at that point. It's such a cool feeling to see the pattern develop and watch the progress. I love that feeling of immersion in a project.
Can't wait to see it in all its red glory!!
I don't know, I think it's perfectly sane to wrap yourself in a wool while winter closes in around you! (Especially since the more you knit, the bigger and more effective your wool-wrap gets! Though, of course, I'm not exactly called upon as a sanity expert very often) If it were me, the whiskey would only make me feel cozier, and make me further determined not to move...
The progress is lovely - I cannot wait to see it all finished!
This is EXACTLY what happened to me when I was designing this... I just couldn't stop! It looks great!
ugh, i love to knith too! iths thoo much fun!!! i love your work! good job!
