My brother called me just after 7 am. A tiny new woman came into the world at 4:30 this morning
Mother and baby are both doing well. She’s 6 lbs 10oz, standing 20" tall, and waiting for her name. My brother’s about 12 hours away, getting his truck loaded up and heading home.
I knew I should have sent that package overnight!

- My education is in history, so naturally I’ve been working in IT for the past 11 years. I took up knitting several years ago, in search of the perfect sweater. Along the way, I have revised my idea of what the perfect sweater might be, and I’ve also discovered lace and socks. I’m currently trying to stuff all of my yarn into two containers under my bed, in complete denial about the fact that I need to buy another one.
